ASQUALAB is an association of medical biologists dedicated in the organization of External Quality Assessment (EQA) and Internal Quality Control associated with Interlaboratory Comparison and Precision Evaluation (IQC-ILC-EP).
Established in 1969 by Professor Michel Bailly, ASQUALAB currently brings together more than 500 private and public laboratories (French, European and abroad) that regularly participate its proposed interlaboratory quality assessment and IQC associated with interlaboratory comparison.
Our missions
- selection and distribution of control materials,
- statistical analysis and processing of participant results,
- inter-laboratory comparison and interpretation of data,
- preparation and publication of individual reports,
- synthesis report including peer method means,
- distribution of an annual summary report,
- assistance with the interpretation of results and the implementation of corrective actions,
- advice on the selection and evaluation of analytical systems and methods,
- validation and provision of documents,
- organization of conferences, technical meetings, and seminars on quality management for medical biologists and laboratory technicians,
- support and guidance for laboratory accreditation processes.
Subscription EQA and IQC-ILC-PE 2027
Registration forms for the Asqualab 2027 programs will be available on the Asqualab website from September 7, 2026.
SFPT and IATDMCT Congress - September 2026 - Rennes (France)
Meet Asqualab at the SFPT (Société Française de Pharmacologie et de Thérapeutique) and IATDMCT (International Association of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology) Congress, which will be held in Rennes (Couvent des Jacobins) from September 27 to 30, 2026.
Asqualab representatives will be pleased to welcome you and exchange with you on this occasion (booth number 27).
This event will bring together international experts, clinicians, researchers, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals to discuss the latest advances and practices in therapeutic drug monitoring, clinical toxicology, pharmacology, and precision medicine.
Harmonization of the acceptable limits for EQA (FAEEQ)
FAEEQ is progressively harmonizing the acceptable limits for all analyses of its EQAs. You will find here the list of analyses whose harmonized acceptable limits have been published and applied since January 2026.

Programs Available for 2026
The 2026 list of external quality assessment (EQA) programs
together with the corresponding guidelines, as well as
the list of IQC-ILC-PE 2025 programs and their guidelines are now available.
Registration can be completed directly online via our website (Sign Up for EQA or Orders for IQC-ILC-PE).
If you have forgotten your laboratory identifier number or if you are registering for the first time please contact us by phone or e-mail. We will provide you with the identifier required to complete your online registration.
The six member associations of the FAEEQ (Federation of EEQ Associations), namely Asqualab, Association de Biologie Praticienne, Biologie Prospective, CTCB, GBMHM, and ProBioQual, continue to work together to offer laboratories comprehensive range of EQA programms under the Federation.
